Frontier Infrastructure Holdings partnered with Carbonfuture for a multi-year agreement covering 750,000 durable CO2 removal credits from Frontier's ethanol bioenergy carbon capture and sequestration (BECCS) initiative, Project Sprint. This deal represents the largest ethanol BECCS carbon removal agreement announced to date. Carbonfuture will offer these credits, certified under Puro.earth's Geologically Stored Carbon Methodology, to corporate and institutional buyers. CO2 sequestration and initial credit deliveries are projected to begin in Q4 2027, utilising Frontier's CO2-by-rail platform to transport captured biogenic CO2 for permanent geological storage in Wyoming.
