Econetix completes first million-dollar CORSIA credit delivery to commodity trader

Carbon asset manager Econetix completed its initial delivery of Phase 1-tagged CORSIA credits to a major international commodity trading house, fulfilling a million-dollar offtake agreement. This transaction positions Econetix as one of few developers able to convert authorised carbon projects into delivered CORSIA supply. The delivery occurs as airlines and trading houses seek eligible credits before the January 2028 compliance deadline for Phase 1 of the UN's Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation. Econetix's next project, a Rwandan cookstove initiative, is expected to deliver 1.3 million tonnes of CORSIA Phase 1-eligible credits, aligned with Tool 33 requirements and backed by Article 6 Letters of Authorisation.
