ESGIN, PPTTI, and PT Juang Jaya Abdi Alam partner on Indonesian biochar and methane reduction

PT ESGIN Global Partners (ESGIN) has partnered with the Indonesian Tapioca Flour Entrepreneurs Association (PPTTI) and cattle operator PT Juang Jaya Abdi Alam to develop a decarbonisation initiative in Indonesia. The collaboration, announced at the ESGIN Business Gathering 2026, focuses on methane mitigation at 23 tapioca processing plants and biochar production from agricultural waste. The biochar initiative with PT Juang Jaya Abdi Alam targets up to 30,000 tonnes of biochar annually from 20,000 cattle. These projects are projected to yield approximately 500,000 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent in emission reductions, with future carbon credit registration planned.
