This collaboration will provide carbon programme developers and investors with more defensible evidence of soil carbon permanence through particulate organic matter and mineral-associated organic matter (POM/MAOM) analysis. The companies aim to meet market demand for data demonstrating carbon durability, moving beyond volumetric accounting. They also plan to pursue joint research and establish measurement standards for soil biology in carbon programmes, particularly for grasslands.
