Boeing signs multi-year agreement with Carbonfuture for 40,000 tonnes of durable CDR

Boeing has signed a multi-year agreement with Carbonfuture to procure at least 40,000 tonnes of durable carbon dioxide removal (CDR) credits, marking one of the aviation sector's largest high-durability CDR procurements. Carbonfuture will supply a diversified portfolio of biochar carbon removal credits from four projects in the Global South. Boeing will use these credits to address residual Scope 3, category 6 emissions associated with business travel. The agreement includes an option for Boeing to purchase additional credits.
